“This photo is of our “Grand 9” who are the fourth generation from our family to vacation at the Outer Banks. We’ve been enjoying vacations together since 1987 when these kids’ Great Grandparents started the tradition. The memories we make each year are the best. We love the OBX!”

“I discovered the 4×4 area on my first trip to the Outer Banks in 2010. I try to take yearly “girl’s trips” with a few friends and we are all into photography and love horses so the 4×4 area is paradise to us. This photo was taken November 8th, 2023. She was making her way just off the beach. I love how the horse goes about life without being bothered by fences or people (I was properly distanced and zoomed in). It really is a magical place.”

“Our family visits the Outer Banks every year. We are so obsessed, we actually named our dog Banx. In 2020 we had plans to get married on the beach in Corolla. Unfortunately due to covid, our dream wedding was canceled. I was so excited to announce the pregnancy of our second baby at such a special place.”

“Our annual family vacation is the highlight of our year. Grandma and Grandpa, 3 kids and spouses, and 9 grandchildren come together for an epic week of laid-back relaxation in our favorite place. Riding bikes into Duck to visit the shops and the Boardwalk is one of the cousins favorite evening activities.”

“This is my big crazy family staying in the Sea Cloud for the 4th year. We all wore our orange shirts in support of my sister who is kicking Leukemia’s butt! My mother, who passed away last year, first came to the OBX back in the 70’s and started making this our yearly tradition in the 90’s. My father, is in the center, and my courageous sister is to the left of him. We all love the OBX so much! Thank you, Twiddy, for making our stay as pleasant as it can be. See you next year!”
