Multi-generational families want a rental home with features that appeal to all ages, such as a well-equipped kitchen for the grown-ups and a game room for the kids. Indoor Amenities Homes with amenities that can be used on a rainy day are also trending. Theater rooms and game rooms are always highly requested, but screened porches have been sought as well. Location Oceanfront continues to be the most popular vacation home location. With more mult-generational families vacationing together, we have heard requests for homes in close proximity to things to do, such as nightlife, shopping, restaurants, activities, and local events. Many families are eager to explore all that the Outer Banks has to offer. Pet Friendly Homes It’s no secret that we absolutely love dogs, and we know you do too! There are plenty of pet friendly things to do throughout the Outer Banks Pet friendly homes tend to book up quicker than homes that do not allow pets. Each town has different leash laws, some seasonal, so be sure to read through OBX pet regulations before booking your pet friendly vacation home. Flexible travel dates? For the widest selection of OBX beach houses during the summer of 2025, consider traveling the week beginning July 4/5/6. The mid-summer month of July is an amazing time to visit, with plenty of things to do after a long day at the beach.
