The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

We had more than one submission for this book! The books have been turned into a popular TV Show, streaming on Amazon Prime. The series also has North Carolina connections, as the show was filmed in Wilmington (though “Cousins Beach” is fictional) and the author, Jenny Han, is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate! 

Books Lovers by Emily Henry

Another North Carolina connection in this book! The fictional location of “Sunshine Falls”, is mentioned to be outside of Asheville, NC. The “Tar Heels” also get mentioned a few times in the book. 

The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah
