Trolley Service

Beach Access

Enjoy effortless access to stretches of beach with Corolla Light’s beach access or where sandy shores are just steps from your door. With multiple direct beach access points, every day is a seaside escape. Two Corolla Beach Rescue lifeguard towers are stationed during 9:30 am to 5:00 pm throughout the summer.

FAQ’s

When are trash pick-up days?

Trash pick-up days are Monday and Friday in-season. Off-season days are Wednesday. This community offers a receptacle roll out and roll back service year-round. A community service provider will roll the receptacle to the curb the night before scheduled pickup and they will return the receptacle back to the home after collection.

Can I bring Boats, Trailers, and Golf Carts into the community?

Yes, guests may bring boats, trailers, and golf carts into Corolla Light resort. However, trailers and boats may not be stored at your rental home unless they fit fully under the home or it must be moved out of the community. Golf carts must be licensed  with a licensed driver.

Are guests required to wear their Corolla Light wristband?

Yes, wristbands are required to be worn to use all Corolla Light amenities.

When are the community pools available for guests?

The Heated Oceanfront Pool is available from May 17th to October 13th, 2025. Hours: 10AM – 5PM. The Unheated Oceanfront Pools are available from May 25th to September 19th, 2025. Hours: 10AM – 6PM. The Soundside Pool is available from May 24th to August 29th, 2025. Hours: 11AM – 6PM

Does Corolla Light allow fishing?

Fishing in Corolla Light ponds is permitted but is catch and release only. You may fish at the oceanfront and in the Currituck Sound but please be aware that the state of North Carolina requires that state fishing licenses be obtained for all individuals fishing on the beach and in the sound.

Does my pet need to be leashed?

All pets must be leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed on Corolla Light pool decks. Dog stations are located throughout the resort.
