What truly sets Sanderling apart from other Duck communities is its unique setting on one of the narrowest stretches of the Northern Outer Banks, offering both ocean and sound access, ideal for sunrise beach walks and sunset soundside views. This community blends the charm of a classic beach vacation with refined tranquility, far from the hustle of more crowded areas. Amenities like a soundfront swimming pool, tennis courts, private soundside dock, and beach access enhance the experience for nature lovers and active guests. Sanderling’s combination of natural beauty, thoughtful design, and quiet elegance creates a truly restorative coastal escape.

Community Amenities

  • Sanderling guests can experience Sanderling Racquet & Swim Club, located at 1578 Duck Road.
  • Tennis Courts, north pier, and boat ramp are open from 9am – 6pm. Available for a fee. Pickle Ball is set up on one of the courts. The cost is $25 cash to play. There isn’t a time limit unless the court has been reserved.
  • Access to the Currituck Sound is available at the pier and boat ramp located at the Sanderling Racquet and Swim Club.
