New in Summer 2026:

Good News for History Lovers

The United States Life Saving Station #13, located in Corolla, has redesigned an exhibit that tells key stories in the history of this truly extraordinary building.

It begins with lifesaving history, featuring many collected artifacts and illustrations.

Secondly, it tells this Station’s story, linking it to the Wright Brothers and culminating in the story of “The Photo of the Twentieth Century”.

The third and final story is the building’s move and preservation in 1986.

It will be open one day each week:

WEDNESDAYS from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Don’t miss the chance to see the building and let the walls tell their stories.
