The Best of Both Worlds on the Outer Banks
Pine Island stands out as one of the most desirable communities on the Outer Banks, uniquely positioned at one of the northern region’s narrowest points. With three and a half miles of stunning Atlantic shoreline to the east, Pine Island offers an exceptional setting for a coastal getaway. To the west, the expansive 5,000-acre Pine Island Audubon Sanctuary features protected marshland, offering a serene natural backdrop.
Pine Island offers a unique combination of privacy, natural beauty, and upscale comfort within a thoughtfully designed neighborhood. One of the key features that makes Pine Island stand out is its peaceful atmosphere and strong connection to nature. Surrounded by preserved maritime forest and coastal marshland, the community provides access to scenic walking paths and the nearby Pine Island Audubon Sanctuary. The beaches in Pine Island are less crowded than those in many other areas, offering a more relaxed and spacious setting for beachgoers.
Many homes in Pine Island are luxurious and spacious, often featuring private pools, ocean views, and easy beach access. These properties are ideal for extended family vacations or group retreats. While Pine Island feels quiet and secluded, it is conveniently located between the towns of Duck and Corolla. This provides easy access to dining, shopping, and local attractions, all while enjoying the peaceful surroundings that define the community.
Step straight into paradise with Pine Island’s unbeatable beach access. With multiple direct pathways to the shore, the sand is never more than a few steps away, making every day feel like a personal seaside escape. One Corolla Beach Rescue lifeguard tower is stationed during 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the summer.
