Set sail on an exciting scavenger hunt in the heart of Duck! This coastal town is unique for being nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound. We put together a scavenger hunt full of stretches of golden beaches, local shopping and eateries, and wildlife. In no time, you’ll feel like a true local! This scavenger hunt can be enjoyed every season. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, seeking an adventure, or enjoy all things local, you will love every twist and turn that Duck offers.

How to play?

The rules are simple!

  1. Divide into groups and bring your camera. You’ll be snapping photos at each location!
  2. Decide your duration time. Challenge the family to a few hours or take longer.
  3. The first team that finishes is declared the winner and gets bragging rights. Everyone can claim a prize at the end!

Visit the Original Duck Donuts

Famous for their warm tasty donuts, you can visit the first Duck Donuts. Create your own box or taste an individual. Snap a pic of your favorite flavor! We love the Maple Bacon and Cookie Crumble.

Take a surf lesson

Have you ever attempted surfing? Surf lessons for ages 7 and up are offered at The Sanderling Resort with Kitty Hawk Kites. Learn beginner tips and glide amongst the ocean waves, you’ll be a pro in no time!
