Pickleball has become a new Outer Banks vacation favorite. Accessible to all ages and skill levels, its simple rules and engaging gameplay make it easy to pick up. Whether enjoying the gentle ocean breeze or during sunset, playing pickleball on vacation offers a perfect blend of light-hearted competition and leisure. We love it for its social nature, the joy of friendly matches, and the satisfying rhythm of a well-placed shot. Many Outer Banks communities and homes offer pickleball, so fun is just around the corner.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a paddle sport with 2 -4 players. It can be played on a 20′ x 44′ court or tennis court. It is easy to learn for beginners and enjoyable for all ages but can develop in a fast-paced game. Whether you’re looking for a new way to stay active, spend time with friends, or engage in some friendly competition, pickleball offers excitement and simplicity.

To play, you need pickleball racquets, pickleballs, and a court to play on. The dress attire is sporty casual with a good pair of shoes, however, we suggest you feel comfortable in any attire you wear.

 

What are the rules of Pickleball?
