This Veterans Day, we observe all those who served and sacrificed. To each and every member of our military, past and present, we are grateful for your bravery and recognize the selfless acts you have made and continue to make to protect our freedoms. On behalf of Twiddy & Company on the Outer Banks, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Veterans Day Outer Banks celebrations take place in most OBX towns and many are listed below.

The Outer Banks was honored to be chosen as the last stop of the 2023 tour of The Wall That Heals Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center. The traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces throughout the Vietnam War and includes the names of over 58,000 people who made the ultimate sacrifice. Outer Banks residents and visitors welcomed The Wall That Heals to the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head.
